Tales of King Arthur

Wadham Players celebrated their 11th annual open-air show with a return to Curtis Mill Green. The natural surroundings of Dick Williams' Willow Cottage venue were an ideal setting.

Stephen Jacobs (Merlin) controlled his corner with quiet force. Lee Ocsko's Arthur was energetic and colourful and David Baker was a confident young Galahad. Elaine Elliott a majestic and malevolent Morganna in search of the Holy Grail. Alison Rhodes and Rose Floyd made their mark as Guinevere and Dindarane. Mark Simons, Matt Mitchell and Will Chapman impressed vocally and Bob Gray did a double act, particularly entertaining as Creep the Messenger. Costumes were designed and made by Christine Powell. The general atmosphere of magic enveloped the audience in this mythical tale. Michael Michael directed and produced with his usual sagacity. The dragon, a creation of Andy B, breathed smoke and fire. Light and sound was designed and controlled by David Mason and Christopher Powell.
