Three plays are on offer
Friday 12 & Saturday 13 March 2010
Performances: 7.30pm
The Dumb Waiter by Harold Pinter
Ben and Gus wait in the basement of a deserted rooming house for instructions on who to kill. They think the house is abandoned, but things get complicated when they receive information from sources coming from other floors. They bicker between themselves as their anxiety grows about the unknown victim.
Waiting For Gordon by Derek Webb
Linda, Jo, Tracy and Helen attend a DIY class at their local college. They all, in their different ways, want to assert their independence and not rely on men. We see their various attitudes to the opposite sex explored and become more acute, culminating in the arrival of Tracy's new boyfriend.
Parcel by David Campton
The "parcel" is old, silent, almost immobile Grandma who is passed from one relative to another. They "care for her" from "pure charity". Her house is gone, her beloved piano destroyed. While being passed along, the old woman asserts her rights as an individual and disappears.
